Back on the 20th I wrote about an unrelated shooting spree in Chicago..

Well today they found 3 more dead in a home in a crime plagued neighborhood. On CNN (this article) talks more about it but the police state that these 3 deaths are not connected to other recent shootings, or deaths, or however you want to look at it.

Things seem to be out of control and maybe cause its in the mainstream news now.

Last week, police found five people found dead in a ransacked home. Those deaths brought the number of people shot to death in Chicago in less than a week to more than a dozen.

The latest deaths come just days after Mayor Richard Daley met with more than two dozen officials from religious groups, police, schools and social service agencies to talk about what’s causing the violence and how to stop it.

Police have stepped up patrols, put SWAT officers and specialized units on the street, and increased their fire power by using combat rifles.

Hopefully they can figure something out cause it’s getting crazy..!!!

Last week some time I was talking about home theaters and the like. But I forgot one part of the package. How is your TV installed? Some people like to have them on a stand or entertainment center but others prefer a tv wall mount. Now since I don’t have a flat panel or anything close to that so I wouldn’t know what option would be better.

Now I have envisioned mounting one above the fireplace, nice and centered on the wall. But the drawback to that is the family room furniture layout. Nothing will really work so that everyone has an awesome non neck crinkling view of the TV. But if I had that dedicated home theater room, then I would be all set with perfect viewing for all.

How do you hang?

A 13 year old girl decided that it would be funny to go around the school with a sewing needle and starting sticking classmates. So before I go on, what the in world was she thinking? Where are the parents involvement in this? At 13 I would think she should know you don’t do that. Oh right the parent involvement question hasn’t been answered.

Moving on,
So she stuck 35, and I repeat 35 classmates. Oh yeah and her teacher. She did this back on April 23rd as a practical joke. Well I think the joke will be on you if she infected anyone with HIV, STD’s or any other blood borne diseases.

The news article mentions that the Yuba County Sheriff’s department did take a report so they can file criminal charges against the 13 year old girl..

I heard Louie Speak at Passion Dallas a couple months ago when I volunteered my weekend to help out with this event. It was an amazing time even though I didn’t hear every talk but what I did hear was amazing. This is one of those small parts of one of his speeches that you should listen to.

The weather has been crazy this past winter and early spring. Couple weeks ago I was in Seattle and 85 percent of my stay it was only about 43 out and for April that is a little cold. Two days after I left they had 2 days of snow and some places got over 6 inches of snow. A blogger/twitter contact mentioned the other day it was snowing in Chicago. Crazy I tell you. I think everyone needs to stock up on some leg warmers, heavy coats, body stockings and gloves.

For the most part we have shed the cold weather gear down south as its been in the 70’s and 80’s. Yeah, shorts weather. So good luck to all you northern people still digging out from the cold weather while I sit back with a drink in my hand on the back patio enjoying the spring weather.

Well the old desktop is getting too old, so I have been thinking about doing an upgrade. I might just make this a gaming computer so I have something powerful to play some games on. Components will make the best investment on this upgrade. I will for sure need some big hardware, like a huge video card, ram, and an awesome motherboard.

I think I could top this off with an really cool case with lights and designs and a 22 inch flat panel.

Yeah I think that would be an awesome set up.
Now if I can just get the money to do it. Maybe I will have to build in pieces.

UPDATE:
I just found them, it’s a layout issue.  Guess I get to work on something else today..

In the last 5-8 minutes, I apologize.  I was doing some updates on the blog and it might have been down or unavailable..

I heard this story last night on NBC5i but all last night and today I couldn’t find any relevant story published on any of the local news media. They interviewed his wife last night and she has been praying for him since they have not heard from him since April 13th.

The last contact he told his family he was taking a 400 mile overnight trip (Northbound) to Sacramento to pick up his nursing license.

So what I find pretty strange is why was his body found in Arizona (East) over 500 miles from where he was staying??

I would suspect fowl play now as his car was no where around the body. You just feel bad to read these stories as probably some punk ass kid wanted $5 for some drugs..

Going back to the later high school years and early twenties I can’t imagine how I just didn’t really care about my body and most likely drink most weekends. Looking back it’s unbelievable. Parties left and right, and I didn’t seem to care. Maybe I needed some drug treatment or rehab or something.

Eventually one day I had enough and didn’t touch the stuff again. I think now I only have 2 drinks per year. Yeah I know crazy! I never had to detox or hit rehab, but I’m surprised my liver made it through ok.. lol
