Yeah I know I’m late reporting in, lol, but that’s OK with me. If fact, I recorded the race and just re-watched it again. Big Brown had only 3 previous starts and his 4th start was a big one. He was favored today and it showed. Could Big Brown be the next horse to win the Triple Crown? Maybe so.

However in spite of victory there is also bad news. Eight Belles after finishing second, went down while slowing down with 2 front broken ankles and they had to Euthanize the poor horse on the track. That is so sad. You hate to see that when it happens. My Uncle has a bunch of horses and I know if one of them ever had to have that done I’m sure we would be devastated, just like the current owners and trainer.

So on the sad note of Eight Belles, congrats to Big Brown on winning the Kentucky Derby by 5…
