Fundraisers and Giveaways
It’s almost that time of year again. Yes Fundraisers abound. There are everywhere, popping up left and right. Wait, maybe I should say they are already here.
So for our soccer team, we also need to raise money for operating expenses and tournaments, etc. After I did some brainstorming I came up with a decent idea. Why don’t we sell promotional products with our own team logo and name on them. I would think this would sell better than raffle tickets (depending on the prizes) and more than oil change cards or those big coupon books (maybe).
Think about this for a second. Wouldn’t you rather have a product that lasts awhile or a candy bar, or coupons that lay around, etc? Yes I know candy bar’s are delicious, but the product will last longer
I will make sure I do a post about our products and/or fundraisers so you can all help my team succeed,

Yeah, fundraisers are everywhere. And so are big garage/rummage sales to raise money. People buy candy bars just because they are cheap. I’m sure you could come up with a better idea. My rugby team was never very successful in the fundraising department. We thought about doing a mud wrestling tournament and charging people to come watch. But we never did.

Geez, I remember having to participate in those fundraising drives while I was in school. I never liked going up to someone’s door to try and get them to buy something. And it was always junk food, too. I applaud you for thinking of something to sell that isn’t sugar-laden!

Thanks for the well wishes, Taz! Detroit’s been an awesome team this year, but they’ve been in a bit of transition for a few years following the retirement of Stevie Y. It’s aweomse to see them back on top with everyone contributing and Osgood in goal.
Everything in sports is cyclical…the Stars will be back on top one day as well.
Thanks for stopping by, taking the time to comment, and the sportsmanship to root on Detroit!
Cheers!
