Remodel Possibilities

We have had our house now about 3 years and although not quite ready to do a major remodel but there are some things around the house that could be upgraded. Yeah that’s it.

A couple things off the top of the list would be to replace this vinyl floors in the kitchen and bathrooms and throw down some ceramic tile. The carpet is still in really good shape so no need to replace that. Oh and speaking of the bathrooms, I would love to change out the faucets and maybe upgrade them to some nice Delta faucets. I think the shower heads need to be replaced also. Now on to the other parts of the house.

We still have never painted, so I think this might be the cheaper solution to make the biggest impact. We already started the front landscaping, except we haven’t finished it, lol..!!! I think those are a few of the major things we want to start on.

Now we just have to get started getting some things done!

It is not a good idea to do anything massively now as the oil price crisis eventually increase every single raw materials involved in rebuilding our house. If the offer is still remain the same or lower than market price, than you should grab it.

Yeah, working in and arround the house can cost a lot of time AND money! ;) Believe me, I know what I’m talking about! ;)
Right now we’re just finished with everything in our house and now we can enjoy our house!

    Good luck with everything.

Good ideas. I just got a new roof thanks to the April hailstorm and my insurance company. I still need new bathrooms, a new kitchen, a new floor, trees trimmed, new paint, a new furnace, etc. Such is the life of a 1957 ranch house.

Painting your home is one of the cheapest and most effective ways to improve the value of your home. Since your home is only three years old and you live in a neighborhood of similar homes, any upgrades you do should be in line with the rest of the neighborhood. don’t go over board on the upgrades. I like your tile idea in the bathrooms. That is a reasonable upgrade and you could do it yourself if you are handy!
