I say this because I love to buy books with the intent on reading them.  In fact last Thursday 3 more were delivered to my work.  LOL.  So this is what I bought.

Crazy Love by Francis Chan.  I heard this is a really good book.  I have heard in speak in person and watch his weekly vidcasts from his home church.  He is an awesome speaker, check him out if you have some time.

Men’s devotional NIV Bible.  I saw this some time ago in a store and loved the way it had a daily devotional before you read parts of the bible.  It should help with my reading plan.

Max Lucado: God Came Near.  This one looks pretty good and I’m a fan of his writings.

Those are the most recent 3 books I got.  But the list goes on and on.  Now I just need to set away some time and actually READ them, LOL.

I also am a huge fan of fantasy adventure and a few sci-fi books..

After 1.5 years the rest of my tooth finally broke.  Last Monday at work just a few short days ago I felt the horrible feeling of tooth and fillings coming loose.  The good news, I had a root canal done on this tooth 6-7 years ago other wise I think I would have been in some serious pain.  It broke off just above the gum line.  It left about 5% of my tooth sticking up.  I scrambled all week to find an oral surgeon and yesterday I finally found one.

So as I write this up, I have gauze in my mouth, the novocaine wearing off, and my pain pills are still at the store being processed.  Much fun I tell you.  The Doc barely gave it time to get numb before he was in there starting the procedure.  At one point I thought he was going to break my jaw.  lol.  I was done in 10 minutes.  That has to be some kind of record right?    Oh well..  I’m going to post this and go get some pain killers so this won’t be hurting so much..

He lost his job back in January.  Last time I checked he was still looking for one.  Unfortunately in this down economy there isn’t much in the way of leads and jobs.  I don’t think he is really up for a job change but he could look at some Wall St jobs and could relocate.

Last I heard he is taking some classes to expand his training to help out moving forward in the job hunt.  I’m trying to find something down here in Texas , but not sure he is really ready to move.  However he may have to move where the jobs are.  I really hope he finds something soon…

I was watching this video on YouTube about buy.com.  It featured Howie Mandel and his son.  I think overall the video was pretty good, except to be honest I felt like it could have better.  If you watch it, he ends up talking to his son through glass, so they put up subtitles that you have to read.  I understand the concept they are trying to show, but come on.  Poor Howie..  His son bought something on his credit card.

It was pretty funny but I still just am not sure.  However the Sales that they have online are pretty good and worth checking out.

Well the day is finally here.  What we have all been waiting for.  Now it’s time to show the rest of the country that you deserved this opportunity years ago.

Tonight Sounders FC kick off the start to the MLS season hosting the New York Red Bulls.  Should be a fun game to watch.  Seattle should do great (I hope).  Tonight kicks off what we all hope will be an extraordinary season and a potential playoff run.

I myself am bummed out that I live so far away so I can’t be there in person to watch it, but I have many friends who will be there, so they better take some good pictures, lol.  However when Seattle comes to Dallas in March I will be there..!!!

Last night it was late and we knew we were cutting it close but we drove down to this local barbeque place that we frequent quite a bit.  Since most everything is pre-cooked we usually just tell them what we want, they hand it to us and off we go to our seat to eat.

So we get there last night about 8:45pm (yes they close at 9) and we get our food and we are paying for it.  Then miss attitude starts.  No not my wife hehe, but one of the workers at this establishment and here was her quote, “If I get another to-go order tonight I’m going to cut someones head off.” I looked at the cashier as was like, I’m glad mine is not to go and then looked at my wife and we kind of chuckled but in the ‘that was rude’ type of chuckle.

So we sit down and we just happen to pick a place close to where this girl was going to be doing her “Closing Duties.”  The entire time we were there she was having a cow.  At one point she slammed a tray down on the counter cause I guess she needed to roll up some forks and knives and then by 5 minutes after 9 with probably 20 people left  “Still EATING” she started to undo all the nozzles from the fountain drinks and took away all the tea so basically no one could get any refills.  This poor guy didn’t know and went up to get some more coke and hit the switch and crapped sprayed all over him.  Did she stop him and tell him it’s down…  NO..  she just let him do it.  Then she was rude to a little boy asking if there was still any ice cream to buy.

It was really painful.  Part of me wanted to extend my stay awhile just to see what would happen.  I’m going to write in to the management about this cause in my opinion, you are there to service the customer and not talk about cutting off heads and slamming things around, etc. etc.

Hope she got a good nights sleep, lol…
