It’s Growing… And it’s not stopping

My backyard to be really specific. It’s unreal this winter and spring. The weeds are just taking over. I have a huge surplus or them trust me. Last week I tried to drop some fertilizer down and my battery powered sprayer died, so today at lunch I went out and got a new one (not battery powered), some new fertilizer and some heavy duty weed killer. Now the drawback, it started raining tonight, ugh..!! And that’s the forecast for the next few days too.
So this weekend I will have to dedicate some time and get this “Growing” problem in control and get it ready for the spring. The grass has barely started so now is the time. Well actually I should have done a heavy duty weed kill a few weeks ago, but I’m a procrastinator.
You aren’t alone with this… my background is mostly dead patches and weeds. Much time and energy will need to be exerted some weekend.
If you do not want to spray poison, that remains in the environment and runs off into the water table, then try laying down 4-5 sheets of newspaper and covering something to keep them on the ground. The weeds there will die from lack of sun and the weed seeds will not be able to sprout. This is my latest tactic in my battle against Johnson Grass.

If nothing works out, you can always go the easy way and hire professionals. I’m a big procrastinator just like you, and I would rather hire someone to do the work
