Clouds are amazing

They simply are.  Weather in general is just awesome.  And before you judge that, I have a little disclaimer.  Summer in Texas where it’s 100+ for more than 2 days is not awesome.  LOL

I like watching the structure of clouds/storms as they build up.  Last night was a good example.  Now I didn’t have my camera with me for the storm that hit, I had to take the photos on my in-laws camera and have not received the pictures yet.  But I do want to post a few that I took earlier in the day.

Clouds

I hope to post more later tonight or tomorrow of the big storm that came in.  Enjoy these 2 for now.

Moving, glad it’s not me

After our last move into our current house, I told my wife I didn’t want to move for a very long time, and so far it’s been almost 4 years.  I know for others, depending on the situation, they have no control over that and have to move every year or two.

I think the worst part is the actual packing and loading.  Before that you have to gather some items.  Packing material, bubble wrap, various types of boxes, like, shipping boxes, big boxes, medium and little, and possibly dish pan size.  We just had some friends move.  Actually two sets.  I wonder what they used.  They probably just threw some things together in whatever they had.

I’m sure this won’t be our last move.  But I hope can be organized and ready when the time comes.

Time to Drop it.

I’m sure I have said it before and I guess I will say it again.  I need to start my exercise routine.  I really need to get serious about this.  Maybe if I stop face-booking and blogging and dedicate some time I might be able to get a good routine down.

I havent thought about the pills like, Phenphedrine, or the others out there. Just not sure to chance it, but I’m sure they work great on a lot of people.  I think I just need to start eating better and getting some real exercise.  Now they have a 24 hour fitness close to my work so I really need to just head over there at lunch time and get a 30-45 minute workout in.  Every little bit helps right?

I’ve been ready

Unlike my wife the school teacher I do not get to have my summers off.  In fact right now I really only get 10 work days of vacation.  Usually most of those days are used to fly to Seattle to see my family.  What I would really like to do is go on a real vacation.  Of course ‘real’ vacations cost a bunch of money so the decision has to be a wise one.  This summer I think the best we are going to get is a 3 day weekend at a bed and breakfast.  However maybe next year we can check out Orlando vacations. I have heard there is a ton of things to do including Disney World. I have never been to Disney World, but have been to Disney Land (CA). I suppose once we make the decision to head to Florida, I’m sure we will have to stay a week to check everything out in that area and just enjoy our time.

Some other places I would like to see (in the US):
Washington DC
New York, NY
North Carolina
Chicago, IL

A Day of Running Around

Thunderrage (Level 10 Paladin)

Finally made it to Iron Forge today.  This place is pretty massive I must say.  Upon entering it there were quite a few travelers and common folk running around.  As a dwarf it reminded me of my families home.  Here is how my day got started:

Earlier, South West of Iron Forge I had a few errands to run for some locals. (Trying to make some coin)  This errand took me deep into a cave with evil creatures.  At one point I had 3 coming at me at once.  I thought I wasn’t going to make it.  I finally hammered my way out past the creatures and went back to my contact to deliver his request.  After doing so, I decided it was the day I made the trek to Iron Forge.

Once I got to Iron Forge, I had to find this secret guy to deliver some reports to (remember I need to get paid, lol) and then I called it a night.  I was too busy from the all day of fighting and running to explore Iron Forge.  I went to the local Inn to call it a night.

Tomorrow Could be a Big Day

Last week we were short listed for a possible adoption of a 4 month old girl. We are 1 of 5 families that were picked to be potential parents. Our Agency advocate will meet with CPS tomorrow and find out more about the child and then show off our home study and our life book (scrap book) that we created. We have been praying ever since we found out about the short listing.

I’m not sure if they will actually make their decision tomorrow night but it’s a possibility. If we are awarded the adoption there is a good chance we will have her by this weekend or sometime next week. We are prepared and looking forward to this life changing addition that may be taking place. Sitting here thinking about it, I’m pretty excited at the chance and still extremely nervous at the same time. I’m not sure when the meeting is tomorrow, but I’m sure I will be thinking about it every minute tomorrow until I hear from our advocate.

I will update the blog of any possible news we get in the next few days.

It’s Spring Time *Shoes*

In my quest for sandals, I’m still coming up short.  I just can’t believe how difficult it can be.  Well then again to be comfortable I really need size 14’s.  In my adventures I see tons of women’s shoes all over the place. Just wish I had more to choose from.

So now I think I’m going to order some sandals and hope they feel OK and fit or else I will just be back to the grind of sandal shopping.  Now on to soccer.  I just about worn out my indoor soccer shoes.  I pretty much wear them anywhere.  They are so comfy.  LOL.  But all good things come to an end right, so I guess I better order them too so when these wear out I can have some new ones sitting at home ready to go.
