Running around at the store

So today I was at the store running around picking out some cards for my wife’s upcoming birthday and to grab some lunch and I turn the corner and hit the aisle that contains the incontinence products. I’m sure I will need them one day I will require this aisle of products but not at the moment.  So I just zipped on by while I was gathering up my goods.

Sometimes I don’t mind running around the store.  Most of the times the lines are short which I really like.  But to side track the other night it took forever which was not really appreciated, LOL…

What I need in my car

I think I need some Mp3 players. I used to have one in my old Kia when I lived up in Seattle. It was so nice. I could just burn a CD of my favorite all time best songs in mp3 format and I could listen to it for hours. It was also nice to not have to switch back and forth between cd’s in my single cd player.

So what I would like to do is add one to my current car. Yes I know I have 6 CD changer but could you image the amount of songs if you had a 6 CD mp3 player..  Oh yeah!!!

That would just make my day.  I guess I will have to price some out and save some money.

The Drive

It’s been a few years.  5 days a week.  Almost 52 weeks per year.  I drive the same route to work.  Now some days I may alter the way I go.  It all depends on traffic accidents, weather etc.  But for the most part it’s the same way.  Most of the time it’s rather boring.  I see the same ole stuff every day.  I pass by warehouses, homes, oil rigs, industrial equipment shops, parks, downtown Fort Worth, you get the idea.

I know most things are static, I get that.  Maybe I’m not wide awake while driving.  Either way I have to make it 28 miles to work.  At least when I was in Seattle I had huge tall trees and awesome mountain scapes to look at.  :)

Is your drive to work the same all the time?  What do you see when you drive back and forth to work?

Co-Workers Friend

My co-worker’s cousin, had some good news recently.

He is 14 or maybe he is 15, and has been batteling cancer for awhile now. I don’t think he has mesothelioma, but I do know just a few weeks ago the doctors came back after some tests and said it has reappeared in his blood stream and spinal fluid. Well some good news came out the other day and the Doctor said that he cannot detect any cancer in the blood stream or spinal fluid. That is AWESOME! news. At least I think so.

So I’m going to try and keep this updated on his condition.  I think he is moving in the right direction now.

Moving, glad it’s not me

After our last move into our current house, I told my wife I didn’t want to move for a very long time, and so far it’s been almost 4 years.  I know for others, depending on the situation, they have no control over that and have to move every year or two.

I think the worst part is the actual packing and loading.  Before that you have to gather some items.  Packing material, bubble wrap, various types of boxes, like, shipping boxes, big boxes, medium and little, and possibly dish pan size.  We just had some friends move.  Actually two sets.  I wonder what they used.  They probably just threw some things together in whatever they had.

I’m sure this won’t be our last move.  But I hope can be organized and ready when the time comes.

Time to Drop it.

I’m sure I have said it before and I guess I will say it again.  I need to start my exercise routine.  I really need to get serious about this.  Maybe if I stop face-booking and blogging and dedicate some time I might be able to get a good routine down.

I havent thought about the pills like, Phenphedrine, or the others out there. Just not sure to chance it, but I’m sure they work great on a lot of people.  I think I just need to start eating better and getting some real exercise.  Now they have a 24 hour fitness close to my work so I really need to just head over there at lunch time and get a 30-45 minute workout in.  Every little bit helps right?

I’ve been ready

Unlike my wife the school teacher I do not get to have my summers off.  In fact right now I really only get 10 work days of vacation.  Usually most of those days are used to fly to Seattle to see my family.  What I would really like to do is go on a real vacation.  Of course ‘real’ vacations cost a bunch of money so the decision has to be a wise one.  This summer I think the best we are going to get is a 3 day weekend at a bed and breakfast.  However maybe next year we can check out Orlando vacations. I have heard there is a ton of things to do including Disney World. I have never been to Disney World, but have been to Disney Land (CA). I suppose once we make the decision to head to Florida, I’m sure we will have to stay a week to check everything out in that area and just enjoy our time.

Some other places I would like to see (in the US):
Washington DC
New York, NY
North Carolina
Chicago, IL

It’s Spring Time *Shoes*

In my quest for sandals, I’m still coming up short.  I just can’t believe how difficult it can be.  Well then again to be comfortable I really need size 14’s.  In my adventures I see tons of women’s shoes all over the place. Just wish I had more to choose from.

So now I think I’m going to order some sandals and hope they feel OK and fit or else I will just be back to the grind of sandal shopping.  Now on to soccer.  I just about worn out my indoor soccer shoes.  I pretty much wear them anywhere.  They are so comfy.  LOL.  But all good things come to an end right, so I guess I better order them too so when these wear out I can have some new ones sitting at home ready to go.
