WoW

So I decided after almost one year off to dive back into to World of Warcraft. Wow, I missed so much and I have actually missed playing it. So with this new SoR (scroll of resurrection) I was able to level my 62 warrior toon straight to 80.

So what I did to get back into the familiarity of the game is go to a new server and start some Horde characters. I have never played the horde and since I have started playing again I thought now was a good time to check it out. So I first created a Blood Elf Mage. At first I thought this was a fun toon to play. However, when I got up to about level 15 I started doing some battle grounds and felt like I was just getting my ass handed to me left and right. I do not even know how much damage I was doing. Did not seem like a lot that is for sure. So I changed it up and rolled up an Orc Rogue. Now so far this has been really fun. Last night I hit level 13 and did a few battle grounds with some decent results. My main issue is I am still low level to get some good (blue level) gear and weapons. Over the next couple of nights I do hope to hit 15 and start doing some dungeons.

More to follow next week.

World of Warcraft Char. Update

Just thought I would chime in on my #WoW wanderings.  Last night I got some decent playing time in.  All the while I was catching up on some DVR tv shows that we like to watch.

Hunter:  So I took my hunter around and did some quick quests over in Theramore Isle and Stranglethorn Vale.  Finally hit level 42.  I also for the first time ventured over to Warsong Gulch Battleground.  This was really cool, and I did 2 rounds playing capture the flag.  Go Alliance (we won both times).  I had more fun I think doing this battle ground over the Arathi Basin one.  Not that it means much but I’m starting to rack up some smaller amounts of Honor Points.

Druid: In the downtime I had the other day (2 days ago) with my Hunter.  I decided to check out what Druids are all about.  So I started a level 1 Night Elf Druid.  I’m not a huge fan of the starting zones for Night Elf’s but after a couple times of logging in I hit level 8 last night.  I’m sure I will hit 10 tonight or maybe this weekend.  The family plans are getting thick.  So far I like the druid.  Hopefully I can stick with it (more than my rogue) and level him up along with my Hunter.

No screen shots this time.  I guess that will do it for my WoW character update.

Battle Grounds – The Beginning

Since I finally hit level 40 with my Hunter I had a quest -  “The Battle for Arathi Basin!“  So last night I figured now that I was at a level 40 I would go ahead and try it out.  I have never done any PvP with this toon and up until level 31 I was on a PvE server.  So I jumped in feet first and holy cow what a different experience that was.  It was nothing short of Chaos.  However with the chaos, it was a lot of fun.  It’s too bad that no one really communicates and decides what area to hit next.  On the quest front I was able to get 2 of the 4 sections knocked out of the way.  So maybe tonight or this weekend sometime I will jump back in and try to get the other ones and get some more honor points.

When I first moved my toon to PvP I couldn’t really see or should I say I didn’t think that it would be for me.  However I’m glad at this point I did transfer my character to this server.  I had a blast in battle grounds and now look forward to doing these more often while I continue my leveling up on my quest to level 80.

Finally some progress

Yesterday marks a great day for my toon in World of Warcraft. Some may not see this as a huge event, but I don’t care, I DO. I finally hit level 40 with my Hunter. Wow it’s has taken a lot of time but I did it. I was so excited I went and bought some new gear and leveled up my hunter skills. One drawback however, I had to go all the way back to Cenarian Enclave in Darnassus. It was really OK, took a boat ride or two to get there, but was happy to learn journeyman riding skill and get my new mounts.

Here is a pic of my new gear. Yeah I know it’s nothing to really write home about but I think it looks cool and add’s a little more defense to what I had previously.

A lot going on

At times I can have a lot of things going on.  Some things I can forget about and some I wait and procrastinate and wait till the last minute.  But last night despite the busy schedule I finally said forget it.  I grabbed my iPhone and put some music into my ears and just sat back and relaxed.  It was pretty nice.  I really don’t do that enough I think.

The last couple of weeks have been really long.  For starters my wife left on Thursday 11th to head up and help her mom take care of her dad during back surgery.  I know that took a lot out of her.  I think she is actually coming home today.  I hope so, I miss her.  We missed her birthday and our 8th Anniversary.  I love you Leslie…  We have had lots of soccer practices lately and in this heat it can wear you out.

A couple times I have tried to go out and do some clothes shopping, but wow I will be honest I hate it.  Not to mention things are just so expensive.  Maybe if I wouldn’t have bought the new iPhone it wouldn’t be so bad after all.

And finally, work is work after all.  I’m trying to get mentally prepared for a few big projects that might be coming up in the next few weeks.  Although I did want to start these back in March, it has taken this long to get what we needed configured on the hardware side and to get some good deals going.  For those who know IT work, we are getting ready to switch over to VMware on a blade server.  And I also have to get a new backup server prepped and ready to go and last but not least, learn server 2008 and exchange 2007 so we can migrate our existing email system.

See a lot going on huh?  Not to mention that I seem to need about 1 hour a night to play WoW.  I’m up to level 33 now.  Still a long ways to go to hit 80 and be elite like the others…  hehehe

New Phone

So I decided to drop some cash Friday and buy the new iPhone.  This is my first time owning one and so far I’m pretty impressed.  Although I knew it would outshine my POS Windows Tilt phone.  So I went with a 32gb iPhone 3G s..

Today I decided to check out the video function on the phone and I like it..

Here is a clip I took and uploaded to you tube right from the phone:

This is Mazzie our Rat Terrier..

I still have a lot to learn about the phone but I think it was the best phone buying decision ever..!!
Well minus the part of telling everyone on the planet your new number!
