Do you need a Tip?

Bella True is a site I ran across with tons of jewelry.  While I was checking out the site and browsing around I found this cool section called “Tips for Guys”

On this section there are 9 different areas or TIPS sections to help you pick out the perfect piece of jewelry.  For instance picking the Anniversary section will show a few samples of earrings and rings and then it also lists the traditional anniversary stones by year.

Here are the 9 sections you need to check out to help out the guys.  Oh wait that will include me too..

  • What to Give, When
  • The Big Four: A Guide
  • The Engagement Ring, Explained
  • Rings for The Big Day
  • When “I’m Sorry” Isn’t Enough
  • Special Days
  • Anniversary Guide
  • Color Her World
  • Gemstones by Color

I truly believe this will help a lot of guys out selecting the right (perfect) piece of jewelry for the spouse, girl friend, other half, etc. based on what the occasion is or life event.  Wedding, dating, etc.  Check them out!

They have a really good selection of jewelry.  It ranges from Rings, Bridal, Earrings and Bracelets to Necklaces and Pendants.
Here are a couple of pictures:

I think I might be buying a necklace or ring in the near future.  You should check out this excellent site!

Are you Covered?

Ack, car insurance….  If you drive a car, I’m sure your required to have it.  Years ago I got in my first and only accident.  This car was turning into a convenience store and just stopped without leaving the main road and BLAM..!!!!  Smacked the rear end of it.  My car was a total mess.  My arm hit the wiper controls so hard they were stuck on.  Looking back I laugh at it, but at the time, I have to say I’m glad I had insurance.  They covered her car and mine.  I felt better knowing that.  There was one drawback, she just got her license, but it was my fault, etc.

Bottom line, If I did have the right insurance coverage I would have been out of pocket at least $2000.00.

Thank you Insurance.

A Day in US History

Today marks a great day.  Today we start a new presidency and the history aspect is this will be the first African-American President of The United States.

I’m happy for our country and fully understand the significance of this history making day.  Now I may not agree with his party and what he stands for, but that’s OK, tomorrow no matter what, he will be my president and will be in charge of our Country. I pray that he will run it with his advisors to make our country greater and safer.

I plan on watching the inauguration  live today.  May God bless our new President and he leads us for the next 4 years and as we mark a BIG day in History.

They Just Wear Out

I really do not buy many clothes and I usually like to wear them for as long as possible.  I guess I just do not like spending the money on them.  However my back is against the wall as my jeans are finally wearing out and I really need some new shoes.

I would like to get some really comfy New Balance walking shoes and maybe some Adidas/Asics training shoes and while I’m there I will keep my wife away from UGG boots.  After that I better head over to the jeans section and pick out some new jeans (hopefully these will last longer) and maybe a new pair of dress pants.  I have so many shirts there is no wonder why I’m not getting any new ones of those…

Back Pain is the Worst

It all started Saturday I’m certain.  We had soccer practice and I was doing some throw in drills to teach them some things and I think I did about 50 or so.  OK so nothing major but about 6 hours later my back started hurting.  uh oh!  yeah that was my response.  So Sunday morning I could barely get out of bed. It hurt so bad..  I Immediately put some heat on it for most of the morning.  I hobbled to my soccer game that afternoon (it was our last one of the season) and then back home.

Monday morning I went to the doc and they advised me I had pulled a muscle and gave me some prescriptions.  So I went all day at work without anything as I couldn’t get my prescriptions till afterwards.  But once I got home I took a muscle relaxer and a pain pill and I was out.  It was starting to feel better but tonight it’s hurting again..  One of these days I will have to learn to take it easy.

Will update my progress later on.

Looking Over our Finances

With every thing moving around so much in the stock market and in the economy, we have had to really look at what we are spending every month and look for ways to cut back on some things.  Some things we would like to cut back on but we can’t include:

Well you get the idea…  Some of the things we really cannot live without.  But I feel if we can budget our money better then it will get easier over time and our debt will get paid off, and then I can add back my 50 dish channels I had to cut.

Wednesday I decided to work from home part of the day and spend the other part of the day working on the house.  The house really needed some work done on it.  So after working for about an hour that morning I take a small break to come back and see my remote connection that died.  So I was like “Oh Great”, and I go check out the dsl router and no more green lights and one flashing red one.

I thought it might be a temporary thing so I continue my day working on the house and playing a couple games.  I check back after a couple of hours and still a flashy red light.  So I finally decided to call AT&T and go through there level 1 no help tech support.  Doing all the things I have already done, and have known about for years.  I finally convince her that it wasn’t me or the equipment, but something with the line.  After 45 minutes she finally gets a tech set up for the day and I was gearing up to leave work early again and come home.  15 minutes go by and I decide I better check the phone line.  Yep dead too, so I call back to make sure I get a real tech out here and not just a dsl tech.

Next day [thursday] I leave work early to come home and meet the guy and shows up telling me they are running tests and will get back to me shortly.  8-10 minutes later he rings the door bell again and he proceeds to tell me that our neighbor’s plumber had cut the line and AT&T had recieved about 30 calls after mine.  He advised me it might be the next morning before anything might happen.  So Leslie and leave for a bit and when we get back the neighbor’s yard was all ripped up and the phone and internet was back up.  Yeah!!!

I guess more people need to pay attention when doing their job to minimize other casualties.
