I know it’s been a long time since I have been wanting a new TV.  You know one of those awesome, nice, bright, hdtv’s.  Well two weeks ago I finally got one.  I did some side jobs to earn the  $$ for it and my wife agreed that it was a good idea to upgrade.  I was finally happy to get rid of that HUGEboat anchor that we use to watch.  Although we have thought about it, we did not mount this to the wall.  I think might in the future but for now, it’s happily sitting on top of a new tv stand/entertainment system.

I actually wish we would have searched for some mounts prior to this and skipped the whole step of waiting to determine what we wanted and that way we could have just mounted it. Either way right now I’m happy and have a great picture. Now to convince someone to get me a surround sound system and a Blu-ray player for the upcoming holidays…

I really need to fix the kitchen sink faucet.  It drips all the time.  You would think I would run out and get a fix it kit or something.  While I’m there I might as well take a look at the Moen faucets and I might just replace the darn thing. I’m pretty sure it couldn’t be that hard right?

Has anyone fixed a leak or replaced a faucet?  Hmm, just wondering cause I don’t have my remodelers license, lol.  I can barely caulk the bathroom floor, lol.  I wonder if there are any classes for learning? I will have to check into that.  But like I said I might just have to replace the whole thing as they may not make a repair kit.  I better check on that this weekend so we will quit wasting water and our growing water bill…

I really need to make a trip to the home store.  Sometimes I hate those stores since I usually find some excuse to spend more money.  But I really need to make a trip.  Our kitchen sink faucet has been dripping for a while and I have just been lazy.  There you go thats the straight up truth.  Oh and maybe I don’t know how to fix it, he-he.

So I really need to bite the bullet and try and fix it right?  The worst thing will be a flooded room or I need to replace the faucet (which wouldn’t be all that bad)  While I’m there I’m sure I will browse through the garden section to find some awesome miracle cure for my lawn, err my weeds (that have taken over), I always like to check out the grills and led lighting. I have wanted to upgrade some lights and add something different to the house since we moved in.

Oh I better stay away from the paint aisle, this place needs some color.

I really need to stop our kitchen faucet from leaking.  I’m not really sure how to accomplish this but I better figure it out cause I don’t want higher water bills.  Maybe we should just go look at all the faucets at the nearest store and just replace it.  I really don’t want to do that since it’s only a couple of years old.

Maybe someone can teach me to fix a faucet or better yet maybe there is some google page I can search with tips on trying to repair them.  I wish I was a better handyman and maybe over the years I will become one.

Now I just need to find some time to get it all fixed up…

Well I get to see the family this week.  Looking forward to it actually.  Plus it’s Christmas.  We are pretty excited and ready to go.  I’m not sure how much I will post or be around over Christmas but will give it my best shot.  Hope everyone has a good weekend..

The weekend is here, and not much to do.   Hold on..  I have tons to do this weekend really.  It all started last night by doing nothing after dinner but watching some TV, and then staying up really late playing our new Wii.

Now after this I suppose I will get up and start cleaning the house.  It really needs it.  I think the rest of the weekend I will clean, play the Wii, watch the BIG12 Championship (Go Sooners) then Church in the morning and then I’m going to spend some time with my Little Brother (I’m a Big Brother) and then do some work from home and that will pretty my conclude the weekend..

Who has some plans for the weekend?  Anything special?

We are thinking about making one of our extra bedrooms a little more livable.  That way it looks nicer and we have some better furniture in there.

One of the first things we want to accomplish is getting some paint on the walls.  White is boring after a long, long time.  Next we would probably run down to the local discount furniture store and replace what we have in the bedroom currently with some newer furniture.  Depending on what we find there, might have to build some book shelves or install some shelves on the wall.  Most likely get some type of art work or painting to put on the wall.

One of these days we will eventually get around to painting all the rooms so each one will add some flavor to the house.  And once we get the spare bedroom done, we will just need to have some people come over and stay the night.

Wednesday I decided to work from home part of the day and spend the other part of the day working on the house.  The house really needed some work done on it.  So after working for about an hour that morning I take a small break to come back and see my remote connection that died.  So I was like “Oh Great”, and I go check out the dsl router and no more green lights and one flashing red one.

I thought it might be a temporary thing so I continue my day working on the house and playing a couple games.  I check back after a couple of hours and still a flashy red light.  So I finally decided to call AT&T and go through there level 1 no help tech support.  Doing all the things I have already done, and have known about for years.  I finally convince her that it wasn’t me or the equipment, but something with the line.  After 45 minutes she finally gets a tech set up for the day and I was gearing up to leave work early again and come home.  15 minutes go by and I decide I better check the phone line.  Yep dead too, so I call back to make sure I get a real tech out here and not just a dsl tech.

Next day [thursday] I leave work early to come home and meet the guy and shows up telling me they are running tests and will get back to me shortly.  8-10 minutes later he rings the door bell again and he proceeds to tell me that our neighbor’s plumber had cut the line and AT&T had recieved about 30 calls after mine.  He advised me it might be the next morning before anything might happen.  So Leslie and leave for a bit and when we get back the neighbor’s yard was all ripped up and the phone and internet was back up.  Yeah!!!

I guess more people need to pay attention when doing their job to minimize other casualties.

So a few months ago we set out to make the flower bed out front something other than an eyesore.  So today I figured was a good day to get it finished up.  Not to mention it’s not 1000 degrees out.  So I planted 2 plants (somewhat not even) **I’m not a landscaper** and filled it all in with mulch.  I have to say it turned out pretty good.

Landscaping Project

In a previous post I had talked about my all morning long fence repair that myself and a neighbor did.  I can say now that my back fence is pretty strong.  However my neighbors fence, not so much.  In fact both neighbors, the left and right one, both have there back fences leaning outward at a horrible degree.  I think if they do not do something rather soon they might need a new fence installation.

If they don’t they it might look a little silly since my fence would still be standing there.  Then again you never know.  I will see if I can get a picture so you know what I’m talking about, stayed tuned.!
