I have had my PS3 for some time now, a little over one year. I was told after I opened it as a Christmas Gift, that if I do not play it very much I have to take it back and sell it. Over the coarse of a year now I have played it off and on at times, at least nothing steady.

This past Christmas I asked for a couple games and I finally got what I wanted. Battle Field 3. This game is just amazing. The stats alone that it collects is just way out of there. I won’t get into those in this post but wow, I have logged 31 hours in the last 5 weeks. Yeah your telling me. And now that the Voip patch came out yesterday, comms are now just amazing…

I just noticed the last time I actually put a post on my blog. How horrible is that.

I think I will attempt to get back into blogging on a normal or semi regular basis. A lot has changed since the last time I posted but it’s all good.

Happy New Year

It’s hard to believe that another year has passed by. Christmas was last weekend and now in a couple days we can say goodbye to 2010. Time just seems to fly by.

Alot has happened in this last year but I’m too tired recovering from Christmas to list them out. Hopefully next week I can drop a post much bigger than this about 2010..

But until then, enjoy New Years this weekend and stay safe!

Surgery Time

No not me, but a family member might be next week. It’s knee replacement time. As soon as the final word comes back that it’s a go, I will be traveling up there tuesday night and spend a few days there to help out. And now that I have an iPad, it makes it pretty easy to remote into work while I’m away in case there are any huge issues. Sometimes that happens. I remember my last surgery. Just this last January. The day of was just horrible, but after a couple weeks I was back to normal pretty much. Well as much as my normal is anyways.

I hope to get back into blogging more often. Our boys have kept us pretty busy over the summer and now it’s time to get re-focused..

World of Warcraft Char. Update

Just thought I would chime in on my #WoW wanderings. Last night I got some decent playing time in. All the while I was catching up on some DVR tv shows that we like to watch.

Hunter: So I took my hunter around and did some quick quests over in Theramore Isle and Stranglethorn Vale. Finally hit level 42. I also for the first time ventured over to Warsong Gulch Battleground. This was really cool, and I did 2 rounds playing capture the flag. Go Alliance (we won both times). I had more fun I think doing this battle ground over the Arathi Basin one. Not that it means much but I’m starting to rack up some smaller amounts of Honor Points.

Druid: In the downtime I had the other day (2 days ago) with my Hunter. I decided to check out what Druids are all about. So I started a level 1 Night Elf Druid. I’m not a huge fan of the starting zones for Night Elf’s but after a couple times of logging in I hit level 8 last night. I’m sure I will hit 10 tonight or maybe this weekend. The family plans are getting thick. So far I like the druid. Hopefully I can stick with it (more than my rogue) and level him up along with my Hunter.

No screen shots this time. I guess that will do it for my WoW character update.

It’s Stinkin’ Hot Out

Oh where, oh where did my Seattle vacation go? Yeah I know I have been home for a bit now, but come on really Texas do you have to be this hot? Since last Thursday till today and forecasted for the next 7-10 days, yes you will read this right. 101+ (Yikes).. Last two night at 10pm it was still at least 90 out. You cannot really do much outside since it’s so hot out. I really have a lot of house work to do on the outside but at 6pm it’s just crazy heat out there. The head indexes are usually a couple degree’s higher as well. So, even though my parents house doesn’t have A/C and it was 85 most of our trip, I would gladly take that right now over 101+ temps.

Keep Moving On

So in the last couple of days I have been working hard on my hunter. As of earlier today I was about the mid 42 level mark. I hit 42 last night while I was doing some quest runs. I usually try to get in at least one battleground activity in a night. It still is so interesting to me. Between PvE and PvP is a huge difference. Last two times was pretty intense. I got some kills in and some deaths of my own. The tricky Horde rogues are a tough bunch to beat.

In some other news, I started a druid today while I was playing at lunch. I can only do so much with my hunter on a limited time scale. I actually like the druid. Made it to level 3 (which is really not hard to do when your starting off). Meanwhile my level 15 rogue just sits around Stormwind doing pretty much nothing. (Not much work right now) My goal is to get my hunter to 55 by September. Not sure that will happen with school starting up for the boys and my lack of sleep catching up to me.

Tonight I’m sure if I have the time to get some more XP on the hunter and maybe a new level or two on the druid.

Battle Grounds – The Beginning

Since I finally hit level 40 with my Hunter I had a quest - “The Battle for Arathi Basin!“ So last night I figured now that I was at a level 40 I would go ahead and try it out. I have never done any PvP with this toon and up until level 31 I was on a PvE server. So I jumped in feet first and holy cow what a different experience that was. It was nothing short of Chaos. However with the chaos, it was a lot of fun. It’s too bad that no one really communicates and decides what area to hit next. On the quest front I was able to get 2 of the 4 sections knocked out of the way. So maybe tonight or this weekend sometime I will jump back in and try to get the other ones and get some more honor points.

When I first moved my toon to PvP I couldn’t really see or should I say I didn’t think that it would be for me. However I’m glad at this point I did transfer my character to this server. I had a blast in battle grounds and now look forward to doing these more often while I continue my leveling up on my quest to level 80.

Yesterday marks a great day for my toon in World of Warcraft. Some may not see this as a huge event, but I don’t care, I DO. I finally hit level 40 with my Hunter. Wow it’s has taken a lot of time but I did it. I was so excited I went and bought some new gear and leveled up my hunter skills. One drawback however, I had to go all the way back to Cenarian Enclave in Darnassus. It was really OK, took a boat ride or two to get there, but was happy to learn journeyman riding skill and get my new mounts.

Here is a pic of my new gear. Yeah I know it’s nothing to really write home about but I think it looks cool and add’s a little more defense to what I had previously.
