What is your side

One thing I’m thankful for is our brick siding on our house. Not only does it look really cool with the rest of the house colors, but we never have to paint it. We would only have to paint some of the exterior boards and trim work. Now if we had a really big house or like a 2 story house with no brick (like a lot of houses in the Seattle area and other areas) it would take a lot of time to paint the house.

One thing I would consider is vinyl siding. The benefits are outstanding. Look at some of these: Long lasting, save time and money painting the house every couple of years, and it will always look nice. If I had to do it all over again on a non-brick house I would go this route.

Lazy Day

Today has been just that. Straight up LAZY…

Woke up this morning and I wasn’t feeling too good. Skipped soccer practice (that’s how bad I was feeling). I thought about working on the yard a little bit, but since the temp was going to be too hot today the fertilizer will just have to wait. Then I started working on the house. (Glad we have the house with all the housing problems these days and glad we don’t have to look for foreclosure help) Then I stated to feel worse and the energy was draining (rather quickly). So for the rest of the day I lounged around and did pretty much nothing. I have tried to do as many entrecard drops as I could before my 1.5 hour nap around 530ish. Yep that felt pretty good. So now just watching “The Rookie” on TV and writing this post.

Hopefully tomorrow I will start to feel better.

Need to Clean

After a long soccer practice this morning I walked in the door, and the house is just a mess. We get so busy during the week the house falls apart. Dishes, laundry, it’s an every week thing… Of course I’m not going to do anything today though. We probably need to go get a bunch of cleaning supplies and just make this a late spring cleaning effort.

Another thing is vacuuming. I really think we need something that works a lot better than what we have now. Maybe we should check out Sebo vacuums. As long as it does a good job it will work for us. And dusting, yikes, that seems to take forever to do a good job, but yet it needs to be done. So with an extra day off this weekend, I guess cleaning is on the schedule and besides gas costs too much to go anywhere.
