Well the day is finally here.  What we have all been waiting for.  Now it’s time to show the rest of the country that you deserved this opportunity years ago.

Tonight Sounders FC kick off the start to the MLS season hosting the New York Red Bulls.  Should be a fun game to watch.  Seattle should do great (I hope).  Tonight kicks off what we all hope will be an extraordinary season and a potential playoff run.

I myself am bummed out that I live so far away so I can’t be there in person to watch it, but I have many friends who will be there, so they better take some good pictures, lol.  However when Seattle comes to Dallas in March I will be there..!!!

Just got an email with the vote for the MLS Seattle Team for 2009 and I’m glad my write in vote counted as well, and they have announced that the team name will be the “Seattle Sounders FC”

Since I couldn’t watch this game live, I had it recorded and last night in a 15 minute span I watched the game, so pretty much just a recap .  I really think Dallas could have came away with a win on this one.  I am actually impressed with the goals that Dallas made too, and the 2 Cooper had, were fantastic.  I think it would have been tougher though if Houston’s GK would not have gotten hurt and stayed in the whole game.

So that is two draws to start off the season.  But better yet IMO they did not lose to the defending champs in Houston.
