The 2008 Red River Rivalry. (I still like Red River Shootout better)

Game takes place tomorrow in Dallas @ the Cotton Bowl around 11am cst.
Of course most will know that I will be cheering for Oklahoma and they better win and keep their #1 ranking in the country. However, I do believe they will win tomorrow and go on to the National Championship this year…
Go Sooners..

We drove up to Oklahoma to my wife’s parents house for fathers day.
Yesterday I had the chance to snap a few shots of some cool (at least I think they were) cloud buildups. No storms ever made it all the way to us or really close
but still made for some good photos.

So this weekend we went up to Oklahoma to our Uncle’s 50th surprise birthday party. They got him good and I guess he said a few choice words when they pulled up to see 15 cars outside the house and roughly 30 people. He doesn’t like surprises very well. lol we all enjoyed it though.
Speaking of birthdays, my cousin’s birthday is coming up in a few days and I’m always 1 week later. Yeah, Great, another year older, yeah, well not really. Come to think of it, maybe I should have a party and I could get some awesome Kentucky Derby Party Invitations. We could even take the birthday party to the horse track also. hmmm that a really good idea right there. Since horse racing is in the family I wonder if my cousin would want some cool invites like that too.
Heading up to Oklahoma for the rest of the weekend. I will or should be able to check in later tonight when I get there and have some time.
Everyone have a good weekend and a Happy Mothers Day (to the mothers out there)
Currently there is a Mesoscale Discussion for our area and Oklahoma for possible severe weather starting in the next few hours. It is stating that a band of thunderstorms is expected to develop. Large Hail and Damaging wind gusts may occur and a watch may be required.
While reading the Meso Discussion I got a text message about a Severe Thunderstorm Watch #204 for our area from 3:00pm till 10:00pm tonight. The watch mentions possible hail to 2 inches and thunderstorm gusts to 70mph and of course dangerous lightning.

For all those who are paying attention..! lol
Anyways, she came out of surgery just fine and pain free (at least at that moment). Doc said everything went good and if all goes well she should be able to come home Sunday night or Monday.
One thing she didn’t like, was that she couldn’t have anything after surgery, even an ice cube.. YIKES!!!
Anyways, tomorrow morning they have to do some xray to make sure she isn’t leaking and then she can have something to drink. She is doing good and in high spirits…
My Father in-law had back surgery thursday and he is still in a lot of pain but its betting better as time goes. They say he might get kicked out last Saturday night.
I’m both of their surgery’s went good the last 2 days. I’m heading back to the hospital to check on mom..
Blog ya later…!

Seeded 6th Oklahoma, wins out over Saint Joseph’s 72-64 to advance to the next round in the Final Four 1st round…
So I have to say that the storms that blew through here the last 2 days were ok I guess. We did get a lot of rain, I think somewhere around the 3.5″ mark in 24 hours, some other places around here it was over 5″
There were not really any huge or severe thunderstorms as I hoped there would be. I know it’s early on into the spring storm season, or should I say it really hasn’t started, but was hoping to hear some good thunder and watch some good storm development.
I know that it’s just coming into the season, so hopefully more will be on the way, and would it be too much to ask for some on the weekends so I can chase them? I might just have to go to Oklahoma this year…

Not quite close enough, but maybe this storm will hold off till after practice tonight.
Although they say the next 48 hours should have some interesting fun weather, with possible Wind, Hail and Tornados possible.
Right now there are 2 severe thunderstorm warnings up in Oklahoma in the following counties;
Kiowa, Washita, Greer and Jackson (Extreme Southwest Oklahoma)
