I hate being sick.  And it’s really not that bad.  I usually get sinus infections about 1-2 times per year and thankfully that’s usually about it.  I cannot remember the last time I had the flu.  So the last few days my throat started being really scratchy.  Not really hurting so to speak, but just there.

So yesterday morning it hit.  I knew right away what it was. ugh!!  So yesterday at lunch time I made my way to buy more over the counter items.  Started taking them and still felt blah, but last night I seemed to have a really good nights sleep and this morning when I awoke I was feeling pretty good and thought I might have shaken it off, but as the day progresses today, not so much.  I guess if nothing changes by tomorrow morning I might have to head to the docs.

I’m not really sure whats going on.  For some reason right now we seem to know about 4 people with cancer.  Pretty scary stuff.  One is five years old, one is thirteen, and 2 older people.  I’m not sure what kind of cancer they have but I’m pretty sure it’s not Mesothelioma.  Haley the five year old has been battling it now for over one year.  Right now she is day to day and there is not much more they can do.  A friend at work, her cousin just had a bone marrow transplant.  He was in pretty bad shape.  I haven’t heard of a new update but I think he is doing OK.

Cancer is pretty scary if you ask me.  I pray for our friends and others who are going through this and battling this horrible disease.

So while I have been home sick, I like to watch court tv or I guess they call it TRU tv now or something like that.  So today they were having live coverage and playing some past clips of this murder trial that has been going on.  I somewhat remember this happening but with so many events that happen in the US Crime world some things just seem to go away.

So the trial was about Entwistle who killed his wife and his 9-year-old daughter and then fled to England.  According to his lawyers, they tried to say the wife did it in a murder suicide crime.  But the jury didn’t buy that one today as he was found guilty of murder.

Other than that, I’ve actually been pretty bored.  I have had to do some remote work cause it just can’t wait till I get back tomorrow.   I have done some plurks, and played some pogo.com and checked my email, and did a bunch of entrecard drops.  So I think now it’s time I take up a movie that we have recorded and needs to be watched.

But overall I am feeling better now that I have had 24 hours of antibiotics in me and I actually got some sleep last night.

Well the doctor could not get me in yesterday so today was the day.  I decided to stay home from work cause the pain is horrible and I have not been sleeping well the last 2 nights.  So after doing some checks the doc came back and advised me that I had strep throat.  ugh…

So looks like I get to stay home tomorrow as well.  Maybe I will have enough energy to actually do something and start getting back on track with my droppers on entrecard.  Sorry all..

OK I think it’s time to lay down again..

The Pits

OK so I left work early and promptly came home and slept for about 2 hours.  I woke up for about 45min and then back to bed.  I decided to try and eat some dinner which was good.  And it’s our anniversary, so happy so so anniversary.  I wish I didn’t feel like crap.  And actually I’m about ready to take some nyquil and hit the sack.

My doctor couldn’t get  me in till tomorrow so hopefully I can get more sleep than I did last night.  Which was barely any.

Edit:  My Entrecard Droppers I’m out of commission due to this sickness and will resume tomorrow hopefully.

So not really sure how or why, but my little old sore throat from last night has turned into a major sore throat and just at lunch I decided to run over and get a temp. reader and took my temp when I got back and it was 100.5

Needless to say as soon as the boss man arrives, I’m outta here.

Drawback:  My stupid doctor can’t get me in till tomorrow so I might have to go to urgent care and pay the higher co-pay fees so we can figure out whats going on….

ugh..   I hate being sick!!!!!

So hopefully in the next couple days I will get back to posting some things.

Right now just sitting back and just finished watching the Red Wings win the Stanley Cup…

Maybe for some, but with this killer sinus infection it’s not such a happy Monday for me. I think I got like 3-4 hours of sleep last night and that is after 4 hours of waking up every 30 minutes. On top of that my wife got some bug or food poisoning as she spent ALL night throwing up. So to sum it up, no happy Monday here.

But look at the bright side, it’s supposed to be an unseasonably 95-96 today so we can all sweat.

I would much rather be sleeping than at work, let me tell you that much…
