Back on Memorial day weekend we went up to Oklahoma to my wife’s parents house for Friday night and Saturday night. We went to celebrate her grandmothers birthday and mine. But the real emphasis was on Nany.
It was a little humid that day with a couple brief spats of sprinkles. Then during the party I kept watching these cells building off in the distance which provided (in my opinion) awesome pictures. It was kind of hard to pay close attention to the party. Which for me was tough cause I love storms, storm structure, etc.
Here are a few pics from that day.

They simply are. Weather in general is just awesome. And before you judge that, I have a little disclaimer. Summer in Texas where it’s 100+ for more than 2 days is not awesome. LOL
I like watching the structure of clouds/storms as they build up. Last night was a good example. Now I didn’t have my camera with me for the storm that hit, I had to take the photos on my in-laws camera and have not received the pictures yet. But I do want to post a few that I took earlier in the day.

I hope to post more later tonight or tomorrow of the big storm that came in. Enjoy these 2 for now.
I love clouds. I cannot help it. I love to take pictures of different angles of the clouds, etc. I grab a couple shots the other morning and I’m going to post them now. Also that afternoon in traffic I saw this bright pink almost candy looking paint job (reminds me of my lowrider days) and decided to snap a picture of that as well.

A couple cloud shots from my driveway this morning. Yes I was bored while the garage door was closing. It’s been a long draining week and this is just my way to relax.

Shot a bunch of these on the drive home tonight. I just couldn’t pass this up:

And I hope in a good way..
One change, the weather. I think our nightly lows are creeping to the upper 40’s, low 50’s which is nice and that also means (I hope) that winter is nearing it’s end and spring is around the corner. Forecasts show possible thunderstorms Monday through Wednesday with some potentially reaching slight severe levels.. YES.. Bring on the storms.. Although this might impact soccer practice, but I welcome the heavy rains and thunderstorms. (that’s one of the things I like about Texas)
Speaking of soccer, we are only one week from spring league starting up. Wow we are in bad shape too.. The girls decided over winter break to not practice and we are now behind schedule getting everything ready for the spring opener. Maybe that is why we are having two practices tomorrow. hmmm..
That’s probably the only two big changes at this point. Oh, we did get our final approval for our Adoption/Foster license so that was some good news..
It’s been awhile since I had posted a cloud or Sunset picture. I happen to grab these in the last couple of weeks. The cloud shot was taken back on December 31st and the Sunset just last week on January 13th.

This sunset isn’t all that spectacular but it looked cool while driving home.

Back on December 5th I took some more ‘Sunset while driving’ shots out of the sunroof. It was pretty good timing and I think they turned out well for the camera I have. Just wanted to share two shots with you all. Have a Happy Friday!
