Today has started from bad and has progressed to worse. This ice storm is nuts. Of course some of you readers will be like “yeah whatever” but for Texas, ice storms can cause havoc.
Tonight on the way home from work I saw 2 accidents with one a rollover within 1/2 mile of leaving work. Then saw about 6 more accidents on the way home. Four of these had cars on the side or completely rolled over.
The main freezing rain and sleet is hitting right now and should last a few hours. We are sitting about 30 degrees and by the morning commute time we should be about 26. I sure hope they have the bridges and overpasses sanded better than then did tonight cause tomorrow morning will take me forever to get to work..
To warm up the ice I post this:

It’s been awhile since I had posted a cloud or Sunset picture. I happen to grab these in the last couple of weeks. The cloud shot was taken back on December 31st and the Sunset just last week on January 13th.

This sunset isn’t all that spectacular but it looked cool while driving home.

Back on December 5th I took some more ‘Sunset while driving’ shots out of the sunroof. It was pretty good timing and I think they turned out well for the camera I have. Just wanted to share two shots with you all. Have a Happy Friday!

Like always I happen to take some nonsense, useless pictures from time to time, and then I take some that actually count. Well at least count to me..
Last night I was taking a picture of our tree that is growing up since we first planted it a couple of years ago and it finally has enough leaves on it. Here is a picture of our baby tree and a couple of the sunset that followed shortly after.

The last couple days I have had some good opportunities to shoot some clouds and attempt at the moon. Now granted my camera sucks so the Moon shots really don’t turn out that well for close ups, but I try anyways.
The two pictures I’m going to show here were taken at highway speeds via my sunroof. Sometimes they actually turn out pretty good. And the moon shot was taken the same way. Enjoy…!!!

Last night after the weather started to cool down [to 96] I started to go out back and start to water the flowers and get some water on the back yard lawn and while I was starting to walk toward the door I saw this:

Southern Storm Cloud

Southern Storm Cloud
It was weird as we were really not expecting any weather like this close to us. Although this isn’t really close but close enough. A little while later even though this was so far away, we had some brief intense wind gusts and steady wind for probably an hour. It kicked up a lot of dust and dirt and it was flying everywhere. I think the closest reporting station to our house showed wind about 28.8 mph with a gust to 35… It was just weird. Weather man said the outflow from the collapsing cell pushed the intense wind northward toward us. It was to have a temporarily 15 degree cool down though..!!
After a failed attempt to play some raquetball, I was driving home and the sunset was painting a nice picture on the blue sky. Here are 2 of the better shots I took (while I was driving, yes no one was around, lol)
